"Tin Tin" - Curly Castro x Steel Tipped Dove

A superb slice of work from two hard-working innovators, Philly sage Curly Castro and NYC creator Steel Tipped Dove. "Tin Tin" is a dark nightmare ride, a conceptual banger, and a bracing antidote to whatever your day has inflicted upon you thus far. Loud is the ideal dosage.

"Go To Work" - Has-Lo and Castle

Good to see Mello Music Group taking advantage of the best emcee on their roster again. Granted, they just signed Open Mike Eagle and everyone in Diamond District is on point, but still: Has-Lo is a gem. Castle is damn strong, too, and the chemistry here is outstanding. This track is the lead single off their upcoming album "Live Like You're Dead" which promises to be an ambitious banger.

Also, that badass cover art is courtesy of Philly phenom Dewey Decibel, who also raps pretty.

"Shoot the Piano Player" - Zilla Rocca ft. Has-Lo

Speaking of f'ing awesome, this latest Zilla Rocca video is a sharp contrast to the trippy surrealism of Fake Surfers. Ambitious, meticulous, and fully realized. This is one hell of a music video.

"Fake Surfers" - Zilla Rocca & The Shadowboxers

A superbly hot mess of a video that perfectly suits this fever dream of a rap track. A strong, weird lead single from the upcoming Zilla Rocca & The Shadowboxers album No Vacation for Murder. Best enjoyed in gently altered states.

"Wrecking Crew Presents Wu-Tang Pulp"

Day Two is a pretty easy pick: this Wu-Tang tribute project is completely unhinged, meticulously accurate yet casually blasphemous. It winds up taking nearly every track over the event horizon, from cover songs into something more like an unauthorized sequel. It also bangs.

The writing stays fresh and you probably don't have to get the 10,000 in-joke that got origami folded into fabric here in order to enjoy the show. As headphone candy and slow ride soundtrack, this is one hell of a trip.

"They Call Me Castro" - Curly Castro

Dope to see a Real Yeti Rap favorite doing (really damn) good: Curly Castro got himself signed to Man Bites Dog records, one of the few remaining labels that actually means something. This is an opening salvo from his first project for them. It goes hawrd. Enjoy the show.

"High on Art" - Dewey Decibel

Fresh visuals from Philadelphia insurgent Dewey Decibel. This is urgent and awesome, an exceptionally colorful blast of a video. Obviously Mr. Decibel is Kinda Artistic, and in fact Algorhythms hired him to produce an awesome cover for us. He's reliable like that. Dig into the man's musical catalog and buy something good.
